'Our Aim Is For You To Achieve'

Footsies Dance Centre was established in 1991

The aim of the school is to enable students to fulfil their potential through the love of dance and performing arts in a nurturing and friendly environment.

Dance lessons are supported by the RAD, ISTD and IDTA syllabi as well as 'free' non-syllabus classes in ballet, modern theatre, tap and jazz dance techniques.  Each student is encouraged to fulfill their dreams, learn through enjoyment and achieve personal goals.  Every student has the opportunity to take examinations, however we recognise that this is not the desired route for some, and therefore entry for examinations is entirely optional and based on the individuals application to classwork and readiness for exams.

Footsies Dance Centre remains small and therefore class sizes are not overpopulated.  All classes are based on a strong technical foundation which provides our students with the training they need to progress through the grades/levels.  We are renowned for our very high standards of teaching and training and can boast a 100% exam pass rate success.  A high proportion of our major students progress to performing arts colleges and we have Footsies graduates working professionally all over the world.

Always looking ahead, we continue to build on the technical strength and curriculum offer within the school.  We recognise the needs of today's dancer and requirements within the profession.  One of Footsies enviable elements is the extremely high standard of innovative choreography and ever-changing style; this in itself is paramount to the training of young creative dancers.
